VOCAL BAND
'The vocal band' is a mini-choir of five a'capella singers Their repertoire is surprisingly various, ranging from chamber vocal and folk music up to pop tops and jazz variations. The musicians skifully apply the elements os swing ,modern rhythms thus interpreting folk and jazz compositions.The a'capella "Vocal band" ensemble always wins the hearts of audience by its ingenious skill of imitating different music instruments - bass, drums (brushes ,plates),reproducing the complicated passages of trumpets and even the whole set of instruments like saxophone quintet .These features make the "Vocal band" a very special vocal group and giveit a very special inimitable colour. The"Vocal Band" group is known to the present audience for its participation in number of radio and tv programmes ,concerts and festivals. The emsemble took part in the First Military Big bands Moscow festival dedicates to the memory of Glenn Miller (1994). With great success the musicians performed at 29th International Jazz Festival in Montreaux (1995) .
In 1996 the group recorded its first cd .The performance of the "Vocal Band" are always like a small jazz show ,based on profissional skill ,charm and refined taste. Once you hear The "Vocal Band" sing you never forgest this best-loved vocal jazz group from Russia.

Bem...o "VOCAL BAND" é mais um grupo vocal europeu "pos-Take 6". Não é melhor nem pior do que os seus congêneres: é igual - o que significa que é muito bom (pelo fato de que todos eles são extremamente preparados e competentes no ofício de vocalizar). Mas o repertório do VB é bem "palatável" para nós, porque tem muitas músicas conhecidas e - principalmente - pela inclusão de algumas "bossas Jobinianas". Como se diz nos USA: pretty good stuff...
